President's Thanks Message
Dear participants of The 10th International Kawasaki Disease Symposium,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your participation in, and cooperation for the 10th International Kawasaki Disease Symposium held in Kyoto, from February 7th to 10th.
Thanks to your effort, the Symposium gathered as many as 426 participants and successfully ended.
On the first day, epidemiologic reports were made by the investigators from all over the world, and we celebrated the 87th birthday of Professor Tomisaku Kawasaki in the evening. On the second and the third day, we enjoyed numerous intriguing reports and discussions, and poster presentations. On the last day, the recap presentation beautifully summarized the sessions and some of the participants enjoyed the post congress tour. Four-day-symposium went by so quickly. It was cloudy almost all through the conference with a dusting of snow on the second day, but it cleared up from the afternoon on the last day and presented us a warmer weekend.
We have been committed to the preparation for the symposium for these two years, and now all that is left is the accounting report. We are so grateful for your kind and warm supports and it can’t be expressed in words.
We will sum up the advantages and disadvantages of the 10th Symposium and restart for the 11th Symposium to be held in three years.
We hope our continued effort will make a big advance in the future treatment of Kawasaki disease.
See you again at the next Symposium in Hawaii!
With best wishes and regards,
Tsutomu Saji, MD, PhD, FAHA, FACC, FSCAI, FJCC
